- educational materials and information;
- workshops and trainings;
- social events;
- creative and recreational opportunities;
- supportive services;
- referrals to GLBT-friendly stores, restaurants, services, and facilities;
- and of course, a place to connect with the local GLBT community.
Here's how you can get involved. Help us spread the word by joining in a game of E-Tag. It's easy. Just send this link - http://www.udglbtcenter.blogspot.com/ - to five people you know who would be interested in knowing about this blog and the UDGLBT Center. Ask those five people to send it to five more. In no time we will be as big as the crowds at a Melissa Etheridge concert!
All joking aside, it is a great way to spread the word quickly. Of course you can send to more than five people, but we don't want to burn you out before we even open our doors. The people you email can be from anywhere - it's a blog, so our first step is worldwide and anyone anywhere can get involved.
To make it even more fun, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Follow this Blog" link under the "Followers" widget. You will then see a pop-up window with the option to either follow 'publicly' or 'anonymously.' Select how you'd like to follow the blog, then click the orange "Follow" button. It is that simple, you are now a follower of this blog! If you elected to follow publicly, your profile picture (if uploaded) will be displayed on the blog with a link to your Blogger profile. It's a great way to start connections.
If you are interested in getting involved in other ways, you can email us at udglbt@gmail.com and someone will get back to you.
Check back frequently for updates and information. We look forward to seeing you at our first event!

This is wonderful. Good luck!
Thanks! I'm hoping soon we will be neighbors. I'm still looking at that space where you have your store. It will make a great Center.
Yeah! This is a great thing. Anything I can do to help, just let me know
For now, join us in our E-tag game and spread the word. Give me some time though, and I will have a list of things for you(and Janine)!
patty this is fabulous
Thank you Barbara, I'm glad you Blogged in! Are you still looking for people interested in starting a PFLAG chapter? This could be a good place to put the word out. opps, i think i just did!
Barbara, i'm very interested in starting a PFLAG chapter in our area. What a great idea. Patty has my contact info.
If anyone else is interested in helping me start a PFLAG chapter in Sussex County, NJ...let me know!
I was thinking this is a great place, but we have to get the word out further. How about a get-together/info sharing session to let people know we are out here. Oh, and as for PFLAG, check with nearby groups I know of a strong one down in Passaic County. Is there a "network" of lgbt centers in the tri-state area?
Yes, we do need to get the word out and let more people know that we are here and what we are doing. Tell me more about the get together/info sharing you are talking about.
